I once thought my technological background was somewhat "expansive", but after enrolling in school again after 10 years in the working world, I have a different opinion! My background includes taking some basic computer classes years ago when I was in school for my undergraduate degree as well as everyday use of email, Facebook, Flickr and MySpace. I have learned some of the basics of navigating on a Mac as well as on a PC. At home, I use a Mac for emailing, viewing pictures and accessing my Facebook account. At work I use a PC for emailing and creating documents.
I have worked in the Social Services field for ten years. With this, I have encountered and worked with people of all ages and abilities. I have worked as a Job Coach, helping adults at their places of work, training them and teaching them to do their job. I have also worked in a special needs classrooms with children ages 5-13 years old. Most recently, I have worked in the Supported Living Services, assisting adults with daily life skills. With all of these different jobs within the Social Services field, I have had the opportunity to teach and/or train in one area or another. Working in non-profit, Social Services is a passion of mine and I love it, however, teaching in a classroom with kids is something I have also always wanted to do. So, here I am, starting out with three prerequisites. In the fall, I will begin classes for a Multiple Subject Credential and also explore the possibility of a Special Education credential.
I hope to get up to speed with using technology both in the classrooms here at CSUSM and in the classrooms where I someday will teach. First I will have to become used to the idea of Web CT (something I have never heard of) and online student services for CSUSM, as such technological resources were not available when I graduated with my Undergraduate degree.

Wow, you have a lot of experiences in coaching people, which will be useful in your future teaching career.
I felt that I should have done a more detailed WebCT tour. I hope you understand the different sites (WebCT, Blogger, Wikispaces, etc.) we've been using.
